Updated BWF World Rankings 2018: Saina Out of Top 10, Srikanth Falls to 8th

In the latest BWF World Rankings, Saina Nehwal from India dropped out of the top 10th to 11th, while Kidambi Srikanth slipped two spots to eighth on Thursday, after not so impressive run by the Indians at the recently concluded BWF World Championships 2018.

 

Meanwhile, silver medalist PV Sindhu and HS Prannoy, who lost in the second round at Nanjing, stay put at 3rd and 11th respectively.

 

A Quarter-Finals finish at the Worlds ended, Sai Praneeth improved with two places to 24th, while Sameer Verma dropped two places to 21st.

 

A big hump to the Indian mixed doubles pair, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Ashwini Ponnappa, who jumped to the highest 12 places up, to register career-best ranking of 28th spot, while Pranaav Jerry Chopra and N Sikki Reddy fell two spots to 24th.

 

In the latest rankings, Satwik and Chirag Shetty of Men’s Doubles, too improved with two places to settle at 23rd, while Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy up to 28th.

 

The 2018 World Champion Kento Momota improved with three places to settle at 4th spot, while Viktor Axelsen remains static at numero uno.

 

Lee Chong Wei, who pulled out from the Worlds 2018, settled at 3rd exchanging the place with Shi Yuqi at 2nd.

 

The five time World champion, Lin Dan, who missed out at 2018 event, dropped five places to settle at 14th.
