Four badminton superstars for Legends’ Vision World Tour in India

They have their style. They play with unique strategy, aggressive and sportive at times. They never gave up till they reached heights to mark records. They are badminton superstars. 


For the first time in the Indian badminton history, four legends; Lin Dan, Lee Chong Wei, Peter Gade, and Taufik Hidayat, are going to reunite during Legends’ Vision World Tour programme scheduled on 4th November 2017 in Mumbai.

 

Lin Dan aka Super Dan from China; a two-time Olympic champion, former world champions Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia and Taufik Hidayat from Indonesia, Peter Gade from France have won many major titles in the world, in the past score year.

 

Yonex, the world’s leading badminton equipments manufacturing company had initiated the Legends’ Vision World Tour programme in 2015. This year, two places in Asia, where badminton is the most popular sport and one place in Europe, where badminton is emerging rapidly, are chosen for the event and Mumbai is one of the places in Asia.

 

As badminton is growing rapidly in the country since quite a time now, Yonex has decided to hold the event for the first time in India. Initially, New Delhi was planned as the venue, later they have decided that programme to be held in Mumbai.

 

“We have decided that the mega event will be held in Mumbai. We have still in the process of finalizing the venue. After visiting Goregaon Sports Club, Andheri Sports Complex and few others sports complexes in Mumbai, we are likely to finalize National Sports Club of India (NSCI),” said a source, as quoted by TOI.

 

“During the event, all the four legends will play an exhibition match with each other. They will also play with talented kids. They will conduct the clinic and will also interact with the budding players and their parents. The celebrities and Bollywood stars will also take active part in the event and play with the legends,” added a source. Earlier, massive events like PBL and Pro Kabaddi League was hosted by National Sports Club of India.

 

The event will be spectated by top Indian badminton players, coaches, and former shuttlers. Bollywood superstars are also going to join the daylong event from 3 pm to 10 pm.
