PV Sindhu who is seen on the court with her amazing moves and smashes took a break from the game and will be seen on the small screen, soon.
India’s popular television show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, the Indian version of ‘Who wants to be a millionaire’ hosted by Big B of Indian cinema is all set to host the country’s one of the best sportswomen, PV Sindhu, the Rio Olympic and World Championship silver medallist.
Sindhu will be seen on hot seat at Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati. The show will witness both the off and on court talks along with the fun packed game.
In his blog, he captioned his photograph with Sindhu as, “The icing on the cake would have to be this extraordinary meeting with the World Champion and pride of India.”
In another image he wrote, “This is the best that one can do in front of her (Sindhu's) greatness and her multiple achievements ... God bless you P. V. Sindhu and may you continue to bring greater glory to our nation.”
Besides, Sindhu left Big B in splits after knowing that she uses sign language to interact with players from different countries. Accompanied by her sister Divya and her mother Vijaya, who sat among the audience, also shared that she would have been doctor if not the shuttler.
A source revealed that she opted badminton because of her father, Ramana, a former volleyball player and an Arjuna awardee, who wanted her to make name for herself.
Further, the source revealed that, few players among the audience got to play badminton with Sindhu.
Also, Sindhu gifted a racquet to Amitabh and he asked her to autograph it for him for keeping it framed in his living room.
Bachchan learnt that Sindhu’s favourite dish is Hyderabadi Biryani and arranged the dish on the set for her.
Amitabh said that it was an extraordinary meeting with her and posted the same on his social media account.
