Tankakso takes down the Capital in the Inter-club badminton championship.


The latest inter-club badminton championship final 2018 updates are here. On Saturday evening, the final match of the State Level Inter-Club Prize Money Badminton Mixed Team Championship was held at the MLA Cottage badminton hall, Itanagar. The match was won by the Tankaksao Badminto Club (TBC) of Tezu, located in Lohit, has whipped out Capital Badminton Club (CBC) by 3-0. With this victory, the TBC has become the Inter-club badminton tournament 2018 final match winner.


Dr. Mohesh Chai, the Sports and Youth Affairs Minister and the DCTCL Parliamentary Secretary, Tesam Pongte has awarded the winning team with a cash prize of Rs 65,000 whereas the runner-up team was awarded Rs 45,000.


Dr.Chai, said that he would take on the first step towards the commencement for the formation of the Dorjee Khandu badminton Academy. In the budget, the state government has also segmented Rs. 10 Crore. He also said that he has big hopes and expectations from the shuttlers of the state to exemplify the country at the International level.


He has also praised the Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA) for their outstanding endeavors in order to encourage players and enhance and improvise badminton in the State.


Dr.Chain, who is appointed in the department of sports lately, has stated that he would also put his efforts in regard to the advancement of other sports in the state. He summed up by phrasing his longings towards the championships, he said that the championships have definitely administered the players to partake in more such tournaments. These are the best platform and opportunity for showcasing their veiled talents.


On the other hand, Pongte has motivated the participants who could not make it to the finals and told them that winning or losing a game is fine and what is important is to participate and take challenges. The Tourism Parliamentary Secretary PD Sona, was also present during the closing function. The entire tournament was sponsored by the Badminton Association of India and fostered by the ASBA.
