PV Sindhu is the star Indian Badminton player who has extremely determined and unshakable intellect when it comes to playing for the nation. At the age of 22, Sindhu has accomplished immensely and still on the orbit to reach for the sky. 


Born in a family of Volleyball lovers, inspired by Gopichand’s marvellous victory in 2001 All England Championship, Sindhu picked shuttle and racquet, and she never looked back. At the age of merely 8 years, she started her Badminton training. She never takes a step back, when it comes to hard work. She travelled more than 50 kilometres every day, to reach her training centre in Hyderabad. Sindhu is truly a fighter, with amazing work ethics.


PV Sindhu is a name which is associated with tons of achievements. Here are some of them, which will inspire her fans.


    In 2011, Sindhu was a runner-up in the Dutch Open, but also in the same year, Sindhu captured the Women’s singles title in the Indonesian International.




    During 2012 London Olympics, Sindhu ruled the international level badminton. She dazed the players and her fans worldwide as she knocked out, Li Xuerui, the gold medallist, Chinese player.


    In 2013, she won both the Malaysia Master’s and Macau Open.


    In the Syed Modi International, she was a runner-up. Meanwhile, she captured the Macau Open yet again. Since, she won two bronzes in a row, in 2013 and 2014 World Championships, she became the first Indian to win two medals in the World Championships.


    In 2015 Denmark Open, Sindhu reached to the finals of a Super Series event but could not make it. However, she made a hattrick by winning the Macau Open in this year.


    She won the Syed Modi International held in 2017.

 

Talking about the most important International level games or World Championships, Sindhu made ultimate records and exceeded expectations of everyone with her stellar abilities and accomplishments. Check out some major achievements of the badminton queen.

 

2016 Rio Olympics: In 2016, Rio De Janeiro Olympics, she became the first Indian who made it to the finals of the Olympics. She had a tough match with her opponent Carolina Marin, where Sindhu lost the match and brought home a Silver in Women’s Singles category. Even though she lost the game, she won millions of hearts.




Also, she became the First Indian to win a medal in Olympics. In the same year, Sindhu once again astounded everyone by winning Women’s Singles title in the Malaysia Master’s Grand Prix Gold. she won the Malaysia master’s again and partakes in the Hong Kong Open, where she was a runner-up.


Uber Cup: In the Indian Women’s badminton team, Sindhu played a significant role in bringing bronze in the year 2014 and later in 2016.


Asian Badminton Championships: Sindhu raised the glory of the nation by giving a remarkable performance and winning bronze I the Asian Badminton Championships as well as Asian Games at Incheon.


Commonwealth Games: Sindhu collected the bronze medal in the Commonwealth Games 2014, held in Glasgow.


South Asian Games: In 2016, Sindhu as an Integral part of the Indian Women’s team, grappled the gold in the 2016 Asian Games held in Guwahati. She also won the silver in the Women’s Singles.


China Open Super Series Title 2016: Sindhu once again, amazed the world by excelling her first ever medal in the Super series title, as she won the Women’s Singles crown in the China Open.


Indian Open: She won her second Super series title, as she conquered the Indian Open in 2017 by defeating her rival, Carolina Marin.
