The most recent list of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings was disclosed on Thursday, according to which the most famous and top Indian shuttlers have embraced their positions in their respective categories.

India’s Olympic Queen, PV Sindhu performed amazingly in the Thailand Open, which concluded last week. However, she was defeated by the World Champion Nozomi Okuhara and remained runners-up of the tournament. Even after her downfall, she is still firm at No 3. On the other hand, Saina Nehwal, who dodged the tournament, is constant on her 10th position.

Vaishanavi Jakka Reddy reached her career-best by attaining the 50th position. This is the first time when the 16-year-old registered her name in the top 50. Meanwhile, Ruthvika Shivani Gadde also climbed up two spots gaining the 90th position. Recently, she played at the Singapore Open.

Among all the climbers, Sai Uttejitha Rao was spotlighted as she climbed up 13 places, which is very unusual and surprising. She reached 115th position. The young girl gave an impressive performance at the All India Senior Ranking Tournament, which was held at Bengaluru, recently.

In the Men’s singles, Indian’s defending champions, Kidambi Srikanth stayed put at No 5 whereas the Indian beast, HS Prannoy had not unclenched his 11th spot. However, Sameer and Sai Praneeth suffered from the downfall of one spot and reached to 19th and 25th positions respectively.

Parupalli Kashyap, the player who returned to the court after an injury and with an impressive performance, reached to the second round of the Thailand Open, grabbed the 48th spot in the BWF ranking.

Other players in the Men’s singles category, such as Subhankar Dey and Lakshya Sen, dropped from their positions and placed to the 67th and 76th spot respectively.

In the Men’s doubles, the silver medallist pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty lost their positions and faltered to 22nd. However, another Indian duo of Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy ascended to the 28th place.

In the Women’s doubles, Satwik and Ashwini reached the 47th rank, as they climbed up 9 spots, while the pair of Ashwini and N Sikki Reddy dropped to 28th place.
