BWF Hyderabad Open 2018 LIVE: Pranaav & Sikki Secure Finals Berth

2017 Syed Modi International winners Pranaav Jerry Chopra and N. Sikki Reddy entered the finale round at the BWF Hyderabad Open 2018 at the G.M.C Balayogi Athletic Stadium at Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

The top seeded Indian duo defeated the Hong-Kong pair Chang Tak Ching and Ng Wing Yung in intense game with 21-19, 21-15 that lasted for just 34 minutes.

The Indian pair sailed to a lead with 5-3 followed by Chang/Wing managing to reach the deficit but the Indian went down the wire to a 20-16 lead; Pranaav/Sikki lost two match points before sealing the opener.

In the second game, the play was a true neck-to-neck till 10-10, before Sikki and Pranaav increased the gap with 13-10 and secured the finals berth.

Throughout the game, Pranaav, most of the time smash hit the net with wrong angle interpretation, while in contrast, Sikki managed to return the bird near the net.

The Indian duo will play against the sixth seed Akbar Bintang Cahyono and Winny Oktavina Kandow of Indonesia, who defeated the compatriots Renaldi Samosir and Julimarbela in the Semis with 22-20, 21-13 in the match of 35 minutes.
