Young and dynamic duo Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty clinched the maiden BWF Super 100 Hyderabad Open 2018 after defeating the Indonesian pair Akbar Bintang Cahyono and Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani with 21-16, 21-14 at the G.M.C Balayogi SATS Indoor Stadium, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, on Sunday.
As the Indonesian spectators at the GMC Balayogi Athletic Stadium started chanting Indonesia in a particular rhythm followed by directed claps, the Cahyono/ Pahlevi duo pumped up and didn't lose the hopes
In the first game, Satwik and Chirag pair lost two early points before reaching the deficit with 2-2. The game was a complete neck-to-neck till 10-10 before Indians lead with the slender difference pf 11-10 by the half time.
The Indian pair cruised the second half with an amazing smash with 12-10. With the precise instillation, the duo started increasing the gap with 16-12, before cruising towards the game point with safe gap of 20-16.
After switching the sides, the Indonesian pair Cahyono/Pahlevi maintained the stride till 3-3, followed by losing the point with net shot at 4-3 trail. The Indian duo seems to be poor at the reflex clear shots, to their opponent’s advantage yet maintained the consistency with 11-6 by the breather.
India’s top Men’s Doubles pair, broke towards the match point with 20-13 with deft and agility returning before losing one match point.
It took just over an half-an-hour for the Indian duo to clinch the BWF Hyderabad Open 2018 title.
