Yonex Belgian International 2017: Indian shuttlers in Quarter Finals

Indian shuttlers have been promising well by entering into Round 2 of Yonex Belgian International 2017.

 

In men’s singles, Subhankar Dey defeated Vladimir Malkov of Russia by 19-21, 21-16, 21-16 score line in 47 minutes. The silent player won 61 rallies against 7th seeded Vladimir. In his next rounds, Dey will play against Lim Chi Wing of Malaysia. Harsheel Dani will play against Toby Penty of England at Sportoase Leuven - TV - 1, who previously played against Joo Ven Soong by 17-21, 21-18, 21-18.

 

While in women doubles Mahima Aggarwal and Sanjana Santosh will play against Line Fleischer and Mai Surrow of Denmark at Sportoase Leuven - TV - 2.

 

Spectators had some real pleasure watching two Indians on the court with Shruthi Mundada beating her fellow player Sai Uttejitha Rao in a 43 minute long game with 15-21, 21-16, 21-10.

 

More games to watch today:

 

Sri Krishna Priya will play against Maryna Ilyinskaya and Saili Rane will play against Freja Ravn.

 

In the Men’s doubles, Francis Alwin and Kona Tarun will face French pair of Thomas Baures and Ronan Labar.

 

Let’s hope Indian shuttlers shine with minimum guarantee of titles.
