Saili Rane, Kapil, and Brijesh into semis of Norwegian International 2017

Third seeded woman singles shuttler, Saili Rane and men’s doubles players Kapil Chaudhary and Brijesh Yadav marched into semi-finals at the four-day long tournament of Norwegian International 2017 in Norway.

 

In the quarterfinals match, Rane thrashed Elisa Wiborg of Norway with 21-9, 21-11 followed by the win over Emma Karlsson of Sweden with 21-14, 21-10 in 22 minutes. While, in men’s doubles, Kapil and Brijesh outplayed Paw Eriksen and Karl Thor Sondergaard of Denmark with 21-17, 15-21, 22-20 in just 40 minutes.

 

While men’s singles shuttler Sahil Sipani, after the easy victory over the local shuttler Peter Roenn Stensaeth with 21-13, 21-9, couldn’t maintain the same form in the another match with Michal Rogalski of Poland and ousted from the tournament.

 

Previously, other players Talar Laa, Kevin Arokia Walter from men’s singles trounced in the opening round on Thursday.

 

In the semi-finals match, Saili will face Amalie Hertz of Denmark and the duo Kapil and Brijesh will play against the fourth seeded Matthew Clare and David King of England.
