World no. 1 Kidambi Srikanth set up another summit clash with the great Lee Chong Wei at the 2018 Commonwealth Games individual event at Gold Coast after registering comfortable win over England’s Rajiv Ouseph.

While, Srikanth defeated Rajiv Ouseph with an ease 21-10, 21-17, Malaysia's Lee overcame World No. 11 Indian HS Prannoy 21-16, 9-21, 21-14 in the other semi-final.

Srikanth proved his top seed billing by easily taking away the first game in just 12 minutes and cruised with a 11-8 lead midway into the second.

After the breather, Ouseph somewhat managed to pull things back, but the Indian was in no mood to take the match to the decider and brought his game into play to close the contest within 19 minutes.

Lee Chong, meanwhile, had stiff nail biting challenge from the Indian HS Prannoy, who won the second game but lost the match to face Rajiv for bronze.

Young Indian debutants Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty is just one step away from a historic gold medal as they reached the finals of the men's doubles event at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.

The duo outplayed Sri Lanka's Sachin Dias and Buwaneka Goonethilleka with 21-18 21-10 in 30 minutes and marked themselves as the first Indian Men’s Doubles pair to enter finals and assuring a medal at the Commonwealth Games 2018.

Satwik and Chirag will now face England's Marcus Ellis and Chris Langridge in the finals on Sunday.
