Sport Science Research Grants 2018-2019 Initiated.

The badminton sport science research updates have been received freshly. The solicitation procedure for the Sports Science Research Grants (2018-2019) is initiated. Friday, 10th August 2018 will be the closing date for the applications.. This research will spotlight on the various health and fitness benefits which can be procured by playing badminton along with this, the research will also focus on the ways with which injury can be prevented. The sport science research badminton updates 2018-2019 involves the engagement of multiple subjects.


All the institutions, academies and solitaries that are involved in the sport science research are welcome to apply for the research grants of graduates. The graduate research grant is associated with the following domains of study:

·      Physiology

·      Biomechanics

·      Sports psychology

·      Performance analysis

·      Match analysis

·      High performance pathways

·      Sports anthropometry

·      Sports injuries/injury prevention


This graduate research grant will also be involved in studies of various other areas also, which is also accepted by the Sports Science Commission.


The Sport Science Commission of the Badminton World Federation has three prior objectives, which are: to motivate and expand enthusiasm along with venture in practical research in badminton; to enhance the level and abundance of scientific components accessible to players, coaches and badminton players; and to contribute with regard to the augmented wisdom and understanding on performance and protection at the international level for coaches and the players.


They main deliberation for presenting the grant will be:

Connection: The various questions in the research should be appropriate and related. The question should be precisely suitable to badminton and the background of badminton.


Outcomes:  Such outstanding results which will be beneficial for the badminton player, coaches or retinue associates.


Authenticity: The research has its spotlight on a state of the art field of research for badminton. The new research area should be able to add quality to the present-day research in badminton.


Quality: The research suggests and recommends supremacy and excellence in the design and approach.


Mechanistic Insight: The researcher has an extant fascination in the sport. They should also know what is mainstream and what is pertinent for badminton.


Quick Influence: The research also has a practical features which is clinical or instruction operation.


The total budget of the research grant applications 2018-2019 of the BWF is $70,000.


The preference of the various suggestions and approaches will be completed by 14th September 2018 and the selected candidates will be informed right away.
