Chan Peng Soon and Lin Ying Goh, who are the profound Malaysian badminton players, have been listed on top ten mixed doubles players invariably. This duo won a silver medal in 2016 Olympics.

They have currently reached the finals of the US Open after winning over Mark Lamsfuss-Isabel Herttrich of Germany 21-16, 21-14. But, the coach Chin Ee Hui looked discontented with the performance.

Early this year, Peng Soon – Lin Ying won the Thailand Masters in January and settled for runner-up position at the Australian Open in May. Now in US Open, the duo is scheduled to play against German opponents Marvin Emil Seidel-Lina Efler on June 17.

On the other hand, Vivian Hoo-Chow Mei Kuan's hopes shattered after losing to Tang Jinhua-Yu Xiaohan of China.  The match concluded with 17-21, 20-22 in women’s doubles.

The reason for Ee Hui being unimpressive is that he felt Peng Soon-Liu Ying were not completely up to the mark. He believed they could have been their best.

The coach further said that “They didn’t live up to my expectations. The German opponent pair cannot be underestimated”.

Additionally, Liu Ying admitted that their work was not top-notch against the world No. 48 Mairs-Moore and will put much effort in near future.
