It is a bending moment for the entire nation, as the glad tidings are coming straightaway from the Indonesian Open 2018, where Indian shuttler, HS Prannoy conquered the Legendary badminton player, Lin Dan of China.

Recently, the Indian shuttler emerged from a long-term injury on his toe, knee and back, which has hampered his game a lot. Not just this, but also in the previous year, Prannoy has to withdraw himself from the Malaysian Open 2018, due to a minor wrist injury. These injuries have hindered his game and recovery, Prannoy got the golden opportunity to play in the Indonesian Open 2018.

This opportunity was more of a challenge to the Indian shuttler, although, it is a great chance, where he could prove himself. In the Indonesian Open 2018, Prannoy has fought the first round of the Men’s Singles against Lin Dan.

This was not the first time when the two rivals landed on the court against each other. Earlier in 2015, Prannoy whipped out the former World No 1, Lin Dan at the French Open Super series.

But, this time, the scenario was quite different, as Lin Dan was in a great form and Prannoy just recovered from certain injuries. It was assumed to be a mammoth challenge in front of the Indian shuttler, as he had to take on the two times Olympic winner, Lin Dan.

Prannoy started off by winning the first game 21-15, however, Lin Dan showcased his talent and beat Prannoy in the second game with a huge difference and 21-9. In the third game, Prannoy gathered himself to win it with 21-14.

Prannoy has made a great comeback and he has proved that he has great potential and ability by beating the Chinses shuttler Lin Dan. In the upcoming matches, there is a possibility for Prannoy to play against the Chinese shuttler Taipei’s Wang Tzu-wei in the upcoming rounds.

Let’s see who will win the title, since Kidambi is yet to take on the Japanese shuttler Momota. We Congratulate all the winners for their victory.
