The Indian shuttler HS Prannoy missed by his three consecutive wins in the Indonesian Open, as Shi Yuqi of China thrashed him 21-17, 21-18 in the Quarterfinals of the Men's Singles title.

In the inaugural game, Yuqi earned his first point, to which Prannoy backfires by gaining two quick points 2-1. Within a few minutes, Yuqi snatched the lead again with three more points. However, a few errors by him gave a chance to the Indian shuttler to bounce back to the game at 8-11. As the game went on, the seizing of the lead continued with neck-neck, and Prannoy lost the first game to Yuqi 21-17.

As the second game started, Yuqi was looking forward to finishing off Prannoy. In the first five minutes, both the player leveled the score 7-7. Prannoy made an error and wandered from his points, and by the mid-interval, the score was same as it was in the first game, 8-11 against Prannoy. Yuqi persisted in his efforts to kick out the Indian shuttler and gained a massive lead with 5 points with the scoreline 15-10.

Prannoy with a blazing smashes earned 4 points and made a strong come back at 16-17. However, both the shuttlers continued playing their brilliant games, and in few minutes, Yuqi with 3 consecutive points helped him seized the second game 21-18.

The match was thrilling and uncertain at that moment. Prannoy fought so hard, but in the end, the Chinese shuttler Yuqi overpowered him by winning the match in just 39 minutes and has cruised into the semi-finals.

We appreciate the endeavor and grind of the Indian shuttler and with this succumb, India exits from the hustle of Men's Singles.
