The Indian shuttler Ajay Jayaram has been consistently performing well. Yesterday were the finals at the BWF Tour Super 100 tournament; he was defeated by Shesar Hiren Rhustavito of Indonesia. The summit clash was held to battle for the reward of USD 75,000.

Undoubtedly, Jayaram has displayed his eminent skills in the entire tournament at Vietnam Open. But even after an impressive run, he lost the final by 14-21, 10-21 in just 28 minutes.

It is the second consecutive match of the 30-year-old Jayaram, where he finishes as runner-up. Last month, at the White Night International Challenge, he reached to the finals.

Ajay felt that he was unable to play with the same rhythm in yesterday’s match. He accepted that he made errors from the beginning of the match and failed to interpret the rallies of the opponent.

However, he said that he was able to keep pressure from the net.

The former World No 13 stated that, if you have a bad loss, it becomes facile to be harsh on yourself. Sometimes, it is better to be critical of yourself and even if you have lost, you must look out for the positives.

In the last couple of months, the Indian shuttler has displayed some eminent performances, and he thinks, he needs to work harder and get strong with each battle.

Jayaram made a recovery and comeback after he injured his hamstring, last year. In Vietnam Open, he defeated Japan’s Yu Igarashi in the semi-finals, before taking on with the World No 70, Shesar. The Indonesian shuttler has already conquered four progressive Indonesia International tournaments. He landed on the court to yesterday for the finals, after knocking out Mithun Manjunathan of India by 21-17, 19-21, 21-14.
