Asian Games 2018 Badminton News: Indian Men Register Early 3-0 Win

India started the campaign with an early win of 3-0 against Maldives in the Men’s Team event at the Asian Games 2018 in Jakarta, Indonesia.


Kidambi Srikanth with HS Prannoy led the Indian contingent to pull-off comfortable win in the opening game on Sunday.


The team will now need to change the strategy, as they will face the greatest powerhouse, Indonesians, in the Quarter-Finals on Monday. India are touted to be one of the favourites to lift the gold in mixed team event in badminton and had a strong start early as they picked up a perfect win to cement their confidence.


Meanwhile, Indian Women’s Team will face mighty Japan, directly in the Quarter-Finals match on Monday.
