Once again China stood tall defeating Malaysia after clinching the fourth successive title, Suhandinata Cup with 3-1 and 12th overall at the finals of the BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championships 2017.

In the opener, the Chinese shuttlers Fan Qiuyue and Li Wenmei stunned by Wei Chong Man and Pearly Koong Le Tan of Malaysia in the mixed doubles with 21-12, 9-21, 21-17 in a 44 minute close contest.

After losing the first game, the Chinese were back with more confidence and their top Men’s Singles shuttler Gao Zhengze thrashed Malaysia’s Asian Junior Champion Leong Jun Hao with 21-14, 21-18 in just 38 minutes to level the score with 1-1.

Having been lost in the mixed doubles (with Li Wenmei), Fan Qiuyue, paired with Wang Chang in the men’s doubles dowsed Chang Yee Jun and Ng Eng Cheong in 34 minutes of the smooth contest. Malaysia’s outstanding performance to reach 19-19 from 11-17 trail went for nothing, and in the second game, their advantage of 13-8 corroded and lost to China with 21-19, 21-17.

Goh Jin Wei, the top shuttler in the junior level, struggled to tick the Malaysian score and lost to Chinese Opponent Han Yue with 21-16, 20-22, 21-8 in 57 minutes. The Chinese, being in the strong position with 2-1 after the third match, gave no chance to the Malaysians and outplayed them to seize the game with 3-1 and remained undisputed champion.
