Meiraba Luwang lost in the semifinals of Yonex Korea Junior Badminton Championships

At the ongoing tournament of Korea Junior Badminton Championships in Korea, fourth seeded shuttler Luwang, the 14-year-old, lost to the top seeded Hyeon Seung Park in the boys U17 match of Korea in the semifinals match with 22-24, 21-19, 21-10 in the 65-minute contest.

 

In the quarters match, the Indian defeated fifth seeded local shuttler Ji Hoon Choi in the longest match of 29-27, 13-21, 21-14 in just one hour.

 

The younger shuttler is supported by Olympic Gold Quest, who are very pleased with his performance. The OGQ program is the long term program for the 2020 and the 2024 Olympics, for which Luwang is on the right track. The shuttler is lucky to be trained under the legend Prakash Padukone and the coach Vimal Kumar as part of the OGQ scholarship program
