The 23-year-old Indian star wrapped up the first game in less than 20 minutes and seemed on his way to another facile win.

In the women’s singles contest, Delhi’s Sung Ji Hyun saved Delhi Acers defeated Beiwen Zhang with 12-15, 15-14, 15-9. Beiwen, who bagged the first game, lost the stride in the second game to Sung, who grabbed 13-5 lead before the former levelled the score at 14-14.

Beiwen’s error-prone game in the decider allowed Sung’s come-from-behind win.
