In the match between top seed Sameer Verma and an unseed R.M.V. Gurusaidutt, which is expected to be more frenzier than Quarters, went as hush as it can be, as the spectators can’t be biased.

For every point that is lost or gained, it is the celebration. Sameer defeated Guru with 16-21, 21-15, 21-11 in the match that lasted for 51 minutes.

In the opener, Guru led with the huge gap of 11-4 followed by Sameer hitting wide back-to-back to let go of points to make the score line 13-5 trail. In no time, Sameer caught Guru with 9 consecutive points with 15-15. That was a great comeback, as Sameer changed the gear with deception and deft shots.

Sameer was able to score only one point before losing the game with 21-16.

In the second game, Sameer started with the commanding move and led with 7-2 before leading by the breather with 11-8 and took the game.

In the decider, Sameer proved himself to be the worth of being the top seeded at the Hyderabad Open 2018; scored 9 consecutive points to make the score line read 17-8 to his lead.

In another match of the Men’s Singles between Joo Ven Soong of Malaysia and the seventh seeded Firman Abdul Kholik of Indonesia, the Malaysian beat the Indonesian in the straight sets with 21-17, 21-14.

In the Finals on Sunday, Sameer Verma will face the Malaysian Joo Ven Soong.
