Top seeded men’s doubles pair; Arjun MR and Ramchandran Shlok won the title with 21-6, 21-19 against Bahaedeen Ahmad Alshannik and Mohd Naser Mansour of Jordan in the finals of Ethiopia International at the Ethiopian Youth Academy Gymnasium Hall to clinch the title.
Earlier, the Indian duo had passed the Uganda pair Herbert Ebayo and Jacob Musisi with 21-14, 21-10 in the semi-finals.
In the men’s singles finals, second seeded Indian shuttler Aditya Joshi lost to top seed Misha Zilberman of Israel with 21-7, 21-19. Joshi fought off a tough challenge in his semi-final to reach the men’s singles final in Addis Ababa; where he defeated Emre Lale of Turkey with 15-21, 23-21, 21-15. Earlier, Joshi had easy win in the quarter-final against the Egyptian eighth seed Mohamed Mostafa Kamel as he reached the semi-final with 21-13, 21-6 victory.
