Indian women’s doubles pair, Maneesha K and Arathi Sara Sunil finished as runner-up after suffering a close 21-19, 24-22 loss against Jenny Moore and Victoria Williams of England in the finals match at Victor Polish International 2017, Poland.
Prior to the finals match, the duo had won two consecutive matches against Magdalena Lajdova and Denisa Sikalova of Czech with 21-5, 21-16 in the quarter-finals followed by the semi-finals on the same day, thrashing Kornelia Marczak and Magdalena Witek with 21-12, 21-13. .
In the men’s singles category, Daniel S Farid bowed out in the quarter-final after the tough fight against the third seeded Malaysian Lee Zii Jia with 21-19, 18-21, 21-6.
