Brazil Para-Badminton International 2018: 13-year-old Krejewski grabs three medals

The 13-year-old Miles Krajewski, a member of USA Para-Badminton team from Yankton secured three medals in the SS6 category at the Brazil Para-Badminton International Tournament held in Paulo, Brazil from the August 9th to 12th.

 

In the Men’s Doubles event, second seeded Miles paired with Vitor Tavares of Brazil to grab gold defeating the first seeds Mark Joseph Dharmai from India and Yohei Hatakeyama in three sets with 16-21, 21-17, 21-18 in the 43-minute contest.

 

Seeded top in Men’s Singles event, Miles Krajewski lost to Vitor with 22-20, 21-12 to win bronze in the Semi-Finals.

 

In Mixed Doubles, Krajewski teamed with American Katherine Valli to earn bronze after losing to the top seeds Hector Jesus Salva Tunque and Carmen Gluliana Poveda Flores from Peru with 21-15, 12-21, 19-21 in 44-minutes.

 

Krajewski will next compete in the Pan American Para-Badminton Championships, starting from Nov. 8th to Nov. 11th in Lima, Peru.
