Gurusai Dutt who has been missing in the action from over a year, is all set to take his first game against the 14 year old Leonid Stojanov.
This tournament is his first since the US Open held in July 2016; after the major ankle surgery that put him on hold to participate in the tournaments. The gap took longer than he expected, as he also underwent the surgery to chop off the extra bone on his ankle and ligament reconstruction which troubled him for a few months.
In a marathon of injuries,it's now my turn 😝😝 The extra chip on the right ankle has been troubling me since last two months and everything we did turned out to be in vain.Dr.Dinshaw Pardiwala has decided to get the extra chip out and also reconstructed the ligaments,i would like to thank my coach #pullelagopichand and Physio's #Kiran #heathmatthews who have been helping me all through,I hope to recover soon and get back on court at the earliest.
