In the Women’s Singles match, the top seed Beiwen Zhang of USA battled hard and saved six match points against the Japanese Aya Ohori to secure the berth in the finals.
The Japanese sealed the first game with 22-20 and was just one point away from the victory, where, Beiwen excelled with the plays and saved seven points to throw the match to the decider with 23-21.
In the decider, the 2018 India Open champion Beiwen, tried reaching Ohori yet trailed with 8-7. Zhang, who has crowdfunded for her World Championship participation, didn’t loose focus and wrapped the Semi-Finals match with a victory of 21-13
