Malaysia Open 2018: Aya Ohori Lost Against Indian Olympic Queen

Malaysia Open World Tour super 750 tournament witnessed the Rio Olympic silver-medallist PV Sindhu winning the round one made a smooth move into the round two on Wednesday.


She played against Japan’s Aya Ohori who gave her a tough competition at the US $700,000 Malaysia Open World Tour super 750 tournament, on Wednesday.

 

The last big tournament Sindhu participated was the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games where she won the silver. She skipped the Uper Cup Finals to gain full form.


In this particular opening round she defeated World No #14 Ohori  by 26-24, 21-15.


There will be match between Malaysia's Ying Ying Lee and Chinese Taipei's Chiang Ying L and whoever wins will have to face Sindhu in the next round.


Initially Sindhu was slipping it off into the opponent’ hands as she was at an average game in the beginning.


Sindhu's started off with 8-6 lead but very soon Ohori had a 12-10 and 15-13.


As the game was proceeding Sindhu reached a 19-17. Very soon the Japanese player grabbed the game at 20-19 but Sindhu reached somehow narrowly saved the game.


In the second game, Sindhu eked maintained the same slander 8-6 lead initially and later on she managed to win the comfortably despite of the strong comeback for the opponent.
